This is great! It's really bothering you that we're in the FL isn't it Shods? Not only that but we are able to enjoy it without the taint of being branded cheats over our heads. Do I detect a bit of jealousy that you were never really in a position to enjoy your time in the league Shods?

The league was OK for a few seasons 
Non-league is not bad though!

Oh but I do Shods. It hurts you that the Daggers are playing league football on merit when your team could only manage it by cheating. Please keep reminding us about our low crowds because, if this is all you have to get your kicks, it just keeps reminding me of how much you are hurting

Never really in a position to enjoy it - Ha !! However we got into the league is up to each individual, but we had 5 seasons to enjoy it & yeah it was great.
I also enjoyed beating Luton in the cup ( 4-3 ) - How did Daggers do !!!
Our very first game in the league , the attendance was 4184 ! Remind me again what yours was...............
Now go & enjoy it while you can, because i think Patrick was being a little generous giving you 5 seasons.....!!

Oh dear, I seem to have touched a nerve with Patrick! What a long self defeating arguement telling me how good life is in the Blue Square North and that it is just as good as L2 in terms of football and grounds (not that he or I really believe that). I say self defeating because if it was just as good why would he be so happy if his team were promoted and D&R relegated?
Although I can fully understand why you are happy to still have a football team whatever level you are playing at, please don't try to tell me that you would not change positions with us tomorrow. On second thoughts, go on tell me - I'm still in hysterics from your last post and you are making my evening.
As for us coming down again this season, maybe we will, maybe not. I think we will stay up but long term our prospects are not so good. As has been mentioned more than once, our fan base is not that great and that will always be a problem for us. I believe that both D&R and BUFC are both essentially non-league clubs and are destined to spend most of our time at non-league level. However, that will not stop me from retaining a level of optimisim and dream of D&R making the playoffs and perhaps playing in L1 next year.
What are your aspirations for this year? To get through the qualifying rounds of the FA Cup and draw D&R in the first round proper? You would then have the chance to become giant killers

At the end of the day Ron, imho both Boston and Daggenham are Conference clubs and in a few years will probably drift towards it. We've had our five years and greatly enjoyed it and you probably will the same.

Couldn't agree more Adam. This is exactly what I said in another post that both our teams are essentially non league. In our hearts mosts of our fans know that but, of course, we all hope for the chance to see our teams play at a higher level otherwise whats the point?
At the end of the day, until recently most of us had only ever seen our teams play at non-league level and were quite happy with that. It's not the end of the world watching Conference football so I have no fears or illusions about our likely long term future.

Can't comment on your current situation. All I do know is that the last few times we have played you, your club were cheating. So you will understand my preference at playing a side from Lincolnshire where I can at least feel comfortable that we are playing on a level playing field if we do lose.
